Riverside MFAA Shoot a Success

On Saturday, June 6th, Riverside hosted an MFAA Shhot. Despite a forecast of thunderstorms all day, 21 archers registered for the shoot. Breakfast and lunch were served and all had a good time.

Other Massachusetts shoots can be found at http://www.mfaa-archery.org/. If you are new to field archery and would like to try it, shoot as a guest of one of the Riverside Massachusetts Field Archery members. Contact Rob Randall.

Searching for a Bow Hunter Representative

The Riverside Archery Committee is looking for an archer to represent the Bow Hunters at Riverside. This person would be responsible for organizing any archery hunting activities at the club (example: maintenance and management of broadhead targets, 2D range, etc.), as well as represent the needs of Riverside’s Bow Hunters at future Archery Committee Meetings. Anyone interested should contact Larry Sullivan at naacoach4@msn.com

Riverside Offers Special Thanks to the Boy Scouts

When you have a chance, take a walk through our field course. Recently, Matt Bailey (for his Eagle Scout project) led his scout troup as they rebuilt 14 target butts, replacing the foam and roofs, repacking the stuffing, cutting down 'widow-making' trees, and clearing the shooting paths and cut-through trails between targets!

Riverside's Archery Facilities

  1. Indoor Archery (open during clubhouse hours)
    • 30-yard Indoor Range
  2. Outdoor Archery (open dawn to dusk)
    • 14-target, NFAA-approved Course by this summer
    • 100 yard/90 meter Practice Butts

Riverside JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development)

Riverside hosts a very active JOAD program (Saturdays 9:30 AM until noon). On certain tournament weekends, there may not be a JOAD class since coaches attend tournaments with JOAD students. Click Here to learn more about Riverside JOAD and to view the archery schedule.
