On May 22,
Riverside held it's second match of the season. Many thanks to Ken
Kennedy for setting up the match, and everyone for helping out.
Turned out to be a great day with 15 shooters on 5 different Courses
of Fire. I think CoF #5 will be remembered for a long time by the
shooters. You started blindfolded and your hands bound. After freeing
yourself, the CoF utilized three different types of firearms supplied
by the Match Director. Shotgun, Revolver, and AK clone were used
to great effect. Other stages included very low cover, weak hand
shooting, and a variety of scenerios many shooters found a real
challenge.

Don't forget, Practice Nights every SECOND and FOURTH Thursday night
starting at 5:30pm and running until dark.
IDPA Handgunner class will be running again on August 27, 8:30am-4pm.

Our next match is Saturday June 25, 2005. This is our classifier
match. Due to the new rules that require classification every year,
Each of our Practice Nights (May 26, June 9, and June 23) will also
be run as Classifier events. Shooters are encouraged to come and
practice or use the chance to classify in multiple divisions. To
make the June Match something special, we will also include some
stages beyond the classifier. You might want to bring your back-up
gun. (^_^)
Ken would like to express his thanks to all the shooters who attended
and helped to run his match. It is by the support of our shooters
that Riverside's IDPA program continues to get better and better.
